Can anyone dethrone Manchester United from the top? (Discussion)

chelseaFC saidFri, 27 Feb 2009 16:17:56 -0000 ( Link )

It looks rather bleak that any other club will succeed over Manchester United. They are playing well in nearly every game and that is hard to duplicate. I thought that Liverpool would have a strong chance but they look poor at home in many instances. Chelsea is over hyped and old, no matter the coach, the players are the same. Arsenal cannot score and have too many solid players injured. Aston Villa cannot beat the top teams to stake the claim. Once again the EPL trophy is going to United because they are too strong and have played the most consistent the entire campaign. Unless they slip up a few times down the stretch, there is no reason the United faithful will not be celebrating another title.

Wow Manchester United look solid from top to bottom. The team as a whole is clicking on all cylinders and will be tough to bring down. if Liverpool does not win this weekend against United, the title is secured for the defending champions.

    Ya very true…

Liverpool – ManU is going to be the match of the season… in fact, if ManU loose… chances will remain for Chelsea too

YES! United look weak and are slowly faltering. Liverpool have a fantastic chance at winning the league. Exciting stuff to look forward to.

The stress is on. I’m pretty sure at this point both Manchster and Liverpool are concentrating on the league most of all, so it’ll defintely be a close call.

Liverpool played an amazing game last night with Arsenal, an insane 4 – 4 (another one!)... and now it’s pretty unlikely they’ll throw Manchester off. I mean, there’s always hope, but it’s a shame that after 4 amazing scores each team still went off with just 1 point.

Too many draws for Liverpool have placed a strain on the club. Just when United seem to slow down, they kick it up a notch. Liverpool should be on top but they are not playing well at home.

If Manchester United lost against Tottenham, we could be talking about something else. How on earth the Spurs blew a 2 goal lead is beyond me. This was the game that placed United firmly on top.
