Transfer Saga (Discussion)

chelseaFC saidWed, 09 Jul 2008 15:21:34 -0000 ( Link )

The saga is on and lively. Players seeking a change of scene, more money, new managers, and more playing time. This has been a busy transfer market and will only heat up.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s world seems to be changing daily. Staying or going, no one knows but Ron.

Frank Lampard has been all over the news because Chelsea will not give him the 5th year of the contract that Frank wants. Inter Milan want him but Chelsea will not sell him.

Emmanuel Adebayor wants out just like his fellow teammate Alexander Hleb. Both seek more money at bigger clubs. Arsenal wants to keep both but they need money and will sell both for the right price.

Manchester City need and seek Ronaldinho but he does not want to go there. The club is willing to make him the highest paid footballer.

This is just a glimpse into the world of the EPL transfer movement.

Thanks for the summary, it’s really hard to keep track of it all.

I guess we’ll just have to wait till the start of the season until we know who’s where for sure.

As much I follow, there is so many rumors, ideas and more. Its best to not get one’s hopes up like you say until the start of the season.

Forgot to mention that AC Milan’s star Kaka, who is sought by Chelsea as well. I guess Chelsea offered somewhere in the range of £50 million. Yes that is a lot of money and those are not US dollars.

Will Emmanuel Adebayor join his buddy Alexander Hleb at Barca? We shall see if Barca increase their offer for the striker.

I guess Chelsea have made a sick offer of over $100 million plus to attain Kaka, but claim that no contact has been made. That is one sick figure for a player.

What is up with Ron at Manchester United? Is he staying or going? Still no word.

The word is Dimitar Berbatov is wanted by United and we shall see if they pay dearly for the striker..

Garreth Barry’s move to Liverpool is still on despite the last minute talk to shut the move down. Barry wants our and Liverpool want him. They are trying to tie up some money before making the move. This should be ongoing for a bit because L:iverpool need to sell a player or two beforehand

How about the ridiculous sum of $250 Million that was tossed around by the new owners for Cristiano Ronaldo to transfer to Manchester CIty!! I seriously hope that they are not serious as this inflation in player salary and transfer fees is going to put clubs out of business if it keeps up.
